About
Truth be told, my creative career didn’t start out in a traditional (or glamorous) manner. I was handed a tool belt my first day on the job and instructed to patch holes and paint walls. I worked as a Production Assistant at Wayfair, constructing faux living spaces in the photo studio. Each day I left with more paint stains on my clothes and saw dust in my hair – inching my way towards becoming the person designing and styling the rooms instead of the one constructing them.
After what felt like the longest six months of my life, I was promoted to a Stylist position. I finally got to kiss my paint-stained Converse goodbye as I jumped out of bed each morning, eager to get to work. I never considered myself a morning person until this very moment. Now, I’m one of the few people that don’t mind when the weekend comes to an end, as I look forward to the week ahead and can’t wait to get back to work.
So, how did I get here? Well, unlike most teenagers my age, I grew up watching HGTV on Friday nights with my mom, drinking cups of tea and flipping through Pottery Barn catalogs. Our weekends were often spent at HomeGood’s admiring new trends or scouring local antique stores for hidden treasures. Needless to say, my mom was always rearranging our house and it wouldn’t surprise me to come home from school and find that she had rearranged our entire living room and was testing out new paint colors for her office. She is a Graphic Designer and Jewelry Designer, a true creative at heart, and whenever she felt a lack of inspiration, she took matters into her own hands by reenergizing the space around her.
Through her, I have found a strong passion for design and love of everything home. I believe that giving a space some personality and filling it with things that you love and that make you happy makes a world of difference. For me, nothing strikes inspiration more than a well designed space that tells a story. I enjoy working with clients to help them create a home that feels personal and tells their unique story.
